When you choose a hotel to stay for just a night and you fly out early morning the first thing you look out is a low price and yet decent enough place to stay. What came to me as a surprise while booking was a riverside hotel coming at 72£ a night without breakfast and was way lesser than a Travelodge or a Holiday In. Which are supposed to host business travellers at a low price but they don’t (not the styles one)!
Disadvantages : no lift and if you get to stay with heavy luggage on the 3 floor get ready for some heavy lifting through steep and narrow staircases
Advantages: A breathtaking view of Thames river when you can enjoy a lunch or snack overlooking the river on the outside (only in the infamous British summer when it can rain anytime in predictably!)
A super courteous set of hosts at the reception who went beyond the call of duty and allowed me an early checkin freshen up and rush to office.
A taxi service at the lift of a phone receiver and can land up at your doorstep always earlier than anticipated awaiting to drop you where you want!
