Location Visited: In the month of March 2019 we visited Seven Sisters which is located in Sussex, United Kingdom. Located in the south east of the queen’s kingdom, it boasts one of the most scenic coasts in UK. It is a Peeble Beach and not a soft sand beach. It is perfect on a clear day to see the Moon rise in the night which leaves you with a romantic taste towards the end of the day.
Travel: We took the following train itinerary to and fro : Slough > Kings Cross St.Pancrass > Eastbourne

Stay: We managed to find a nice and cozy apartment in the town center itself on Airbnb! The apartment was a self sufficient one where we managed to stay between Friday March 22nd to Sunday March 24th . A very organized owner who took care of all aspects of the apartment which helped us concentrate on the touristic aspects of the visit rather than worry about what is available. The apartment is located in the town center and hence has access to local shops where one can purchase required groceries / vegetables to cook and eat at leisure. The apartment’s kitchen was fully equipped. Cant ask for anything more at 170 £ for total duration. (We would recommend this for a short stay if you are lucky to get it in peak season!)

(Address: 9, Gladstone Court, 237 Terminus Road, East Sussex, England BN21 3DH, United Kingdom)
Attractions: The approach from the apartment to the Pier walk was an interesting one What we noticed was the average age of local residents being 65+ and they were enjoying sipping on afternoon tea or a glass of red wine overlooking the English Channel in the Burlington Hotel chatting about the past, present and the future. Waving at them we walked past the hotel to reach the Pier in a distance. The Pier had its standard eating joints and gaming consoles.

Attractions: The Pier had a nice restaurant, vibrantly decorated with Victorian style Chandeliers and a decent spread of quick eats and coffee/tea/chocolate again overlooking the English Channel. We enjoyed the quick eats and the view and the people in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The Victorian Tea Rooms caters a traditional afternoon tea, including a pot of Tea or Coffee, a Freshly Cooked Scone, Clotted Cream and Strawberry preserve all served Victorian Bone China. We were captivated by the enchanting decor including two beautifully lit Victorian style chandeliers.

There is a play area for kids called Treasure Island. It is a good entertainment for kids and is closed on Sundays. There is a small mini golf area for adults when the kids play indoors with the tags.

Closed on Sundays. Mini Golf available
To seal the deal at the end of the trip, we found a nice restaurant with access to the beach as well and hand some hot chocolates and cakes and then headed back home to Slough. In between this we did a visit to Seven Sisters but that is a different blogpost…watch out for it shortly!… Happy reading
